5 volt for BT adaptor

Post by doma »

Hi all,

Is it possible to wire 5V to pin 3 or 4 or the rj11 connector for 5v on pin 9 of the db9 to power a bluetooth adaptor on a v4 board?

Thanks, Maurice

Hello,

Pin 3 and 4 of the RJ11 adapter is wired to ground. You would need to modify the MJLJ board, or modify the plug so that you can provide 5V from the MJLJ to either pin 3 or 4 of the RJ11 adapter, so you can pass it to the outside of the case to power your BT adapter.

Please see the schematic for reference:

Ok I will look into that.
Perhaps an idea for future versions.

Thanks,

Thank you for the feedback, yes.

It may be easier to de-solder the RJ11 jack, bend pin 3 or 4 away from the board, and then re-solder. you can then jumper that bent pin to +5v. An idea.
