A friend hung mine on me after I "Logic'd out" a tech problem he was having...
he'd known me for a long time and decided I was that type of analytical being.

Then a few years later I spent some years DJ'ing and this popped up. :)

I added the "-Tech" since there are so many Spocks out there on the net.

Back in the early 90's I lived in Sydney on the northshore (please be nice!!!) and I had a lot of Dub mate that mostly lived down south... Down that way there was this performance dub shop called Hellbug that was 'the' place for seriously fast VW's... Many EFI Turbo Dub's came out of the shop.... And all because of the two enterprising gentlemen that ran the place... One was a genius mechanic, and the other a very cocky sales man who could turn a phase as well as he could turn a car... He took one look at my hairless cranium and coined the name...

It stuck.

This screen name came about as when i went to the local laser profilers and tryed to give him my wifes e-mail address as contact (mine wernt working at the time) he just didnt get it & kept getting it wrong so he said" 'll just shorten it down for my reference" (ginandtee@------) become gat.tuning in a flash, however my old screen name come about as the canteen wife at my old work was pants at making anything and the only items she used to order in were pies!!! so evey dinner time if what she had was crap (coz she ruined it) id order 2 pies and chips, hence gavin2pies@------- came to be.

My screen name came about way back at the early days of computing and I needed a name for something. I really don't remember what. Anyway it has stuck through all the years and now it is just a part of me.

A prophetic moment, back in the early days of my car 'growth'. Figured it sounded cool...never realized that I'd end up living that name for nearly a decade, lol.

Now I'm calmer, and slower...but I keep the nick.
