Post by bobclevenger »

Engine Mfg: Chrysler
Engine Code: 440 Six-Pack
Cylinders: 8
Displacement (cc): 7210
Rev Limit: 6000 rpm
TPS or MAP: MAP
Boosted or Normally Aspirated: Normally Aspirated
If Boosted- max Pressure (KPa): N/A
Modifications: Three Holley 2300 carburetors (stock), Iskenderian 270° hydraulic cam. 10.3:1 compression (stock)
Chassis: 1972 Jensen SP (about 4000 lbs.)
Notes:
This map seems to be working well on 91 Octane pump gas. I'd start a bit retarded just to make sure, but this seems to work and has given me no problems.

Great- another V8 map!

What car do you have this installed in? Do you have any installation pictures?

How does it run vs. the distributor?

This is installed in my 1972 Jensen SP. Installation details (and photos) are on this site in another thread.
Note that this advance curve might be a little bit too aggressive in the heat of summer.
The car starts and runs easily. It seems to be a little bit smoother than with the old distributor but that just might be my rose-tinted glasses working. :) Fuel consumption is better than before at highway speeds. On a pure highway run I get a little over 20 mpg from this beast, primarily (in my opinion) due to being able to run 50° BTDC at 1700 rpm with a light load. No performance testing has been done.
