rev limiter

i have megajolt fitted to my engine with the standard rev limit set to 7200rpm. when i take off in first gear it hits the limit fine but when u go into second and the engine is under pressure it feels like the limiter is a lot lower. is there anything i can do or check? i do plan to get the hard rev limiter in the future.

The hard rev limiter is always the same- You can try doing a datalog to show the state of the system while going through the gears.

Also remember the dynamics of the car & engine are different in higher gears - hitting the rev limiter will make it 'feel' different when driving.
