Entering LAT/LONG

Post by flat6pilot »

Question about entering Lat/Long:

The syntax for RCP is 0.0000000

Using Google Earth I can find the Start/Finish of Pacific Raceways in Kent, Wa.

At the bottom of the screen shot you can see the Lat/Long displayed like this:

47° 19'15.35" N
122° 08'51.03" W

Can I assume that I would enter this as: 47.191535 and 122.085103?

Hi Kyle-

So you want latitude / longitude in decimal degrees. Not sure how google earth provides that format - it's probably some option you can enable. The easy way I've found is to visit the google maps website, zoom in on the location, right click and select "what's here". Presto! The decimal latitude / longitude shows up in the search field.

Awesome. Eventually we'll have it in the app itself, and later in the mobile app natively ;)
