Free upgrade to MK1 V2 firmware - official beta release!

Post by brentp »

The official V2 firmware for MK1 supporting the latest app is now available in the downloads section of the wiki: http://autosportlabs.net/RaceCapturePro_Downloads

If you have a RaceCapture/Pro MK1 you are encouraged to download and install the firmware and app to enjoy the latest software features available across both platforms.

This is a free upgrade for MK1 users, unifying the firmware and software features across both RaceCapture/Pro MK2 and MK1 platforms.

Some notes:
* RaceAnalyzer app is not compatible with the V2 firmware.
* The new android app (matching the latest RaceCapture App) is available in beta form by signing up for this google group

Many hours of work have been put in to ensure a common firmware and software platform for both versions of RaceCapture/Pro. What does this mean to you? Many software and firmware features and bug fixes will apply to both platforms simultaneously and released together. This is our commitment to you to provide the best continued value for as long as possible.

This commitment is on top of our open source commitment. Got some embedded programming chops? We'd love to talk to you as we have tons of things in the pipeline!

This is all exciting stuff and fab news, but at the risk of appearing dumb, how do I know whether I have the Mk1 or Mk2?
Knowledge is power:-)

Hi,

You can tell which version you have by looking at the case decal: http://www.autosportlabs.com/racecapturepro-2/
