My Megajolt Lite Jr has a 9 pin outlet for connection to the computer. What to do now that my new computer has no 9 pin connection anymore? Only 15 pin, USB and other "flat connectors". Are there adaption cables, or?
Otherwise 0 problems with my 8 year old Megajolt!

Comms problems
Hello,
I am now at the point of hooking up my computer to my Megajolt. I finally got MS to acknowledge the port but now having problems trying to communicate with the MJolt. The errors are: Time out occurred and Communications Time Out occurred.
Question: My computer only has USB connections, so, do I need a smart USB cable (one with a chip in it) or make a direct wire USB to the RJ-11 jack?
I have the DB9 to RJ-ll adapter I purchased from you but need to convert to USB.
If I must make the cable or buy a direct connect cable like the one you offer, is there a software driver available?
If it is a direct connect, what is the data rate and other parameters used on the Mjolt serial port??
Thanks,
Doug

Let us know if you're still stuck and we can provide links for you.
Hi,
You will need a USB to serial adapter to go between your computer and the RJ11 cable we provide.

A good quality unit is recommended - you can find them on Amazon or we have one in our online store: https://www.autosportlabs.com/product/c ... l-adapter/

Regarding your USB adapter, does it come with driver software?
