Racecapture storage

Post by habeb »

Question regarding the upcoming Racecapture device. Does the unit have a microSD slot to store logging data or is it reliant on the dashboard host for storage? If so, is the log data being transmitted via the bluetooth connection, which brings up the next question regarding the bandwidth available on that media needing to handle the realtime dashboard data and logs.

Hi -

There are a number of options. RaceCapture/Pro can log data to:

* local SD card. up to 1000Hz.
* stream data to the RaceCapture app via bluetooth or WiFi up to 50Hz
* stream data to Podium at http://podium.live via real-time cellular telemetry, up to 10Hz.

Hope this helps,

The local SD card storage is present in the racecapture (not racecapture pro)?

Hi,

The smaller, plug and play RaceCapture does not have SD storage. It only streams data to the RaceCapture app over WiFi.

Thanks,

Like the small form factor for flexibility in install locations. Can I use 1 WiFi radio for console and the other WiFi radio to control a GoPro?
