RaceCapture App Windows 1.8.0 - error

Post by slammed200 »

Windows 1.8.0 - https://autosportlabs-software.s3-us-we ... _1.8.0.exe

Downloaded that file and installed successfully on Windows 7

Opening the app gives the following error

"Error loading Python DLL: C:\Program Files\RaceCapture_v1.8.0\python27.dll (error code 14001)

Let me know what else I can provide to help diagnose!

I get the same error. Tried reinstall, and running as admin, still the same. V1.7.5 working fine still.

Hi, thanks for reporting. Could you try installing 1.7.6, and then try re-installing 1.8.0 right after that? We had a similar report where this (somehow) helped. Will work to dig into this problem.

Hi Brent

Unfortunately that didn't work. I installed 1.7.6 and then 1.8 again, still the error. I then made sure that 1.7.6 runs correctly, which it did, then installed 1.8 again, same error.

Same here, tried it again and 1.7.6 runs fine and 1.8.0 will not install.

Hi, we have an updated test build of the 1.8.0 app to test.

* Un-install your current 1.8.0 app
* Download the file hosted here; remove the '.rename' from the file
* and re-install.

Please let us know the results. Thanks!

That fixed it, it installs and open correctly now on my Windows 7 PC.

Thanks. Got multiple reports of this updated app fixing the problem. Looks like a build / deploy issue and we think we have it solved for the future.

The 1.8.0 app download has been replaced by this version on the downloads page. http://podium.live/software
