1.10.2 on Android could not load any libpythonXXX.so

Post by tfriest »

I upgraded the app from 1.9.2 to 1.10.2 and it won't run.

------------------------
SDL Error
An error occurred while trying to start the
application. Please try again and/or reinstall.

Error: Could not load any libpythonXXX.so
-------------------------

I am running Android 4.1.1 (I can't upgrade higher on the phone I use for my dash) on an HTC Evo 4G LTE phone.

I tried uninstalling and doing a full/fresh install and that didn't make any difference.

I don't see any way to revert back to 1.9.x either.

Hi, it looks like this is happening on some older devices. This might've happened when we upgraded to the latest application framework we use for building the app. We will investigate.

In the meantime, you can install the previous 1.9.0 app version by doing the following:

* Uninstall the current version of the app that's not working for you
* Manually install the 1.9.0 APK. You can download it here:

I was able to reinstall 1.9 from the APK, just have to redo all my settings/preferences...

That'll get me through this coming weekend.
