Jumpy Advance Readout

Post by thegecko »

I just completed a new MJ display and saw something interesting. When the MJ is on advance curve 1 (TO), the advance readout is steady and the adv correction come in smoothly. When on curve 2(CR), the display seems to jump around by a few degrees. This is repeatable - here is a quick video showing what I am seeing. Any Ideas?

The display is driven by an ESP32 and connects directly to the MJ USB port - making it a nearly plug and play solution.

Hi, you probably figured it out by now, but the best guess is there's something different with the secondary ignition map. try connecting the laptop and figure it out based on watching the ignition map bins.

You may need to go back to the default map and slowly adjust it from there.
