help..with 97 ford ranger

hi...I can't find the edis on the drivers side fender..which leads me to believe that spark is controlled by the ecu???doe's anyone know where it is???...also can I use the tach signal from my tach in the dash to fire the megasquirt??? thanks lloyd

I think you would need better to check on Megasquirt yahoo forum, this forum is about a diy ignition system using some off Ford EDIS parts combined with the diy controller.

Its been awhile since I've checked in...thanks for your reply...I can't get no answers to my questions at m/s forum...anyways, I hooked up a analog tech to the output to the dash tech and it worked..I still don't know if the signal will be strong enough to fire the m/s...I've looked at the wiring diagram and the spark control is in the ecu...thanks lloyd
