other types of crank sensors
hello iam trying to obtain what type of output your would expect from the standard Ford crank sensor, as i am trying to make up an ignition systerm for a Rover k series on a carb using the standard crank sensor and reluctor ring with one TDC reference pole welded up. i would like to know if the standard sensor might be compatiable with the EDIS unit. many thanks

Hi Little John
I just had a new Ford sensor on the scope this week. You should see a minimum of +/- 1 volt pulses with the sensor properly spaced to the gear (1-2 mm I believe is about right)
Don't forget that EDIS requires the 36-1 tooth configuration if you are making our own....
cheers
