resistor spark plugs

Hi guys,

is it a must to use resistor plugs?

wot would happen if i didnt use them?

i use non-resistor plugs.

You should use resistor plugs or resistor leads. If neither are resistive, you will be interfering with a lot of people's radios and TVs :(

That, and interfere with cheap USB-Serial adapters. :roll:

no, i won't :wink:
i use wires with very good EMI suppression (you don't have to use resistive wire to get this). they are so good that we had massive problems getting a good rpm reading with the inductive clamp at the rolling road :shock:

ok well i might try the plugs next time i but some, but it will not hamper the performance i take it?

KLAS, how do these EMI suppression leads work? I've seen leads with an external braided screen for RF containment, in particular on Army radio vehicles and on old Porsches with capacitive discharge ignitions.

i don't know how they work, but for me they do work (have heard they don't work for other people).
they are MSD Super Conductor wires.
and i'm running EFI cars without problems with my setup

MSD plug leads have the conductor wound into a coil, the inductance of which suppresses high frequency radio waves.
