Feature Request: 2Hz logging rate

Post by sbarton »

Can you add an option to log at 2Hz? Right now I think it is 1, 5, 10, 20, etc.

Also is there a way to log certain data points/sensors without transmitting them via telemetry? Would be useful to help keep the bandwidth usage down, but still be able to see the info you want after the session.

Hi Scott,

Logging rates are set based on the frequency of the internal operating system 'ticks' - and it looks like 2Hz falls cleanly on those tick increments. so 2Hz can be done easily. I'll add it to the list.

Having separate logging rates for SD and telemetry is on the to-do list as well. a bit more surgery, however.

Not sure if it is possible, but a neat way to do it would be to instead of having one logging rate that does both SD Card and Telemetry, is to have 2 'logging' rate drop downs. Once rate for the SD Card, and another rate for 'Telemetry' You could select 0Hz to disable logging to either the SD Card or the Telemetry.

Hi Scott,

Yeah! That's exactly what I was considering for how it would be expressed.
