So I have some data - what next?

Post by Hutchie »

Hi again!
I have been out and collected some data but am now struggling to make sense of it.
When I import it into. race Analyzer I can select a channel(s) and "play" it but how do I visualise this on the circuit?
When I select latitude and longitude and chose GPS for the display type I just get a black screen.

I can't see any lap counts or compare time on laps etc.

Any help greatly appreciated :D

Thanks ohiokm11.
I followed all the instructions you refer to, but the problem is when I come to view the latitude and
Longitude channels. I select those channels, chose GPS view for the chart type and when I play the channel I just get a black screen.
Additionally, I set the start/finish line co-ordinates in RCP but am seeing nothing any where that gives me any lap data - any ideas?
How do I get to the lap/track data as shown in the example here:

Thanks again,

Phil.

I would suggest opening the file in a text editor or Excel to make sure that you have latitude and longitude data actually recorded to the file first.

The graphics shown in your link are only for the real time telemetry web based view, not the software.

Thanks again for the support :-)
I have exported the data into excel and it all looks in order, but is the track graphic only available when using the real time telemetry? I thought Race Analyzer was supposed to be able to show your position on a circuit.
Thanks,
Phil.

You can see it there. Add a GPS view and it will show up in RaceAnalyzer.
