MegaJolt Lite Jr - Communications

Post by megakid »

I have a MegaJolt Lite Jr on my Kitcar with a Zetec.

Want to make some alterations to the Map.

My problem is, my new Laptop has no Serial port (RS232).

I have seen cables as USB to Serial (RS232).

Would such a cable operate with mjljConfig_v3.0.0 with its baud rates etc. through USB.

Thanks

Hello,

Yes, you can use a USB to serial adapter for your Megajolt. Be sure to use the latest Megajolt v 3.2.1 software with the app:

Thanks for that.

Another question,
The unit is in a sealed box under the dashboard for security reasons by the previous owner, which I cannot be access to find the Firmware version loaded.

Would there be a problem in loading the latest firmware whatever is already loaded currently.

The firmware on board should be fine. We would just recommend using the 3.2.1 *desktop* software for communications.
