Im having a similar problem with the bluetooth. I've paired my tablet, it says its connects in the app. It doesn't display any data. I tried battery V for example. The tablet app doesn't have the statistic page with yaw etc displayed just a blank page.
The unit is only on usb power, i dont know if that has any effect.

Hi,

First let's figure out what RCP you have. MK1 or MK2? What program are you using to configure it?

If the mobile app is showing connected, that's good. can you swipe sideways to see a screen with activity like this?

These are the full instructions for MK2 for setting up bluetooth. MK1, you would go in to telemetry config and ensure you would have Bluetooth telemetry enabled.

Sorry should have stated Mk2. v2.7.1 software.
That screen isn't present in my mobile app its just a blank black page. I've tried re downloading the app multiple times and still nothing.
I followed those instructions to program the bluetooth, the app stated that it was connected. Yet nothing showed on the battery gauge.

Got it.

Try these things:

* upgrade to the latest 2.7.4 firmware
http://autosportlabs.net/RaceCapturePro_Downloads

* ensure you have the bluetooth module plugged int to the correct RJ11 port (the left RJ11 port) - you can refer to your quick reference card as well.

* ensure the wireless config setting has 'bluetooth' enabled per this diagram

Also, on the windows version of the RaceCapture app, can you see activity on the dashboard screen - following the instructions on the first part of the quick start guide?

Done all 3 no change. The android app says its connected(but displays nothing). If you depower the unit then repower it, the tablet wont connect. That screen is present and working in my windows version.
Im wondering if its a problem with my tablet.
Its android 4.2
Bluetooth:support 2.1+EDR/3.0/V4.0LE

Interesting. So you are seeing data flowing on the dashboard screen of the windows app, which a great sign, proving the system is fundamentally alive and working.

Can you try a different android device and see if that works? If we can't get it to work then maybe we have to swap out your BT module.

There was one android device we tested with that had a poor implementation of Bluetooth. it was a cheaper, no-name device. What tablet are you working with? Make/ model?

Let us know and let's get to the bottom of this! Thanks for your patience.

Yep unit works great. I've setup shift lights/tested shift lights on the car.
This is the tablet I have, it was the only waterproof one I could find(car has no roof).

I'll try track down another tablet to test it on.

Thanks, please keep us posted. Also, make sure the setting in the telemetry config for "Background Streaming" is set to "ON" - otherwise no data will flow via bluetooth.
