IMEI#/device classification?

What does the IMEI# for the RCPro telemetry module look like? Anotherwards, what is the device classification?

I understand there is some kind of string in the IMEI# which tells the network, AT&T for instance, what kind of device is connecting. If the device type is not recognized by the cell tower then it may not be let onto the network.

Related question, what is the GSM chip/hardware used for telemetry?

Hi,

The device's IMEI # is shown in the System status page when the app is connected to the RaceCapture/Pro hardware.

The current cellular chip is the SIMCOM SIM900 module.
