Help. SD card data logging issues

Post by ed »

We ran RCP this past weekend at Road America Chumpcar. 4th place finish.

Telemetry (cell reception) was spotty coming up the hill on the main straight. We lose it every lap. The in car timing was working good and the predictive timing was AWESOME to set pace, fuel & stint length management and manage gaps. Accurate. To be able to set pace in the car AND have the crew in the pits have that same info real time. Love it! A lot. Brilliant! Our live telemetry for 129 laps from Sunday is here. https://podium.live/events/ra-chumpcar- ... device/129

But given the spotty service, we wanted to upload & replace the live data with the log from the SD card. The live telemetry is not robust enough for post race analysis.

We are using the GPS speed lua script for automatic log. Speed > 10.

Using the automatic logging, the SD card recorded no data Saturday. None. I reformatted our card, checked the lua script (it was fine and no changes made) and tried again Sunday. On Sunday, it only recorded 35 laps during the middle of the day, or one of our four driver stints. Those laps are here. https://podium.live/events/ra-chumpcar- ... agerbomber

It is a real bummer. Big one. What can I do to fix this? Without having to manually start/stop logging each stint or session?

We run it again at a World Racing League race in a few weeks.

Jager / Maxxis E30 pre tech and impound. Now that Race Capture is a chumpcar sponsor....make sure you get good stickers!

Hi - sorry we missed this earlier.

You should definitely try the latest version of the firmware as we've made significant improvements to SD card stability recently. Let us know what you find out!
