Noise issue with analog sensors

Post by psallandre »

Hi,

I have a lot of noise / instability with from my analog sensors. When I power RCP with an USB cable from a laptop, with key to OFF, then values are pretty steady, but as soon as I turn the key to ACC, so with engine not even running, neither radio, then values begin to swing a lot. RCP is powered with 12V from ACC.

I changed cables to shielded ones for the sensors wiring, it helped a bit but not much.

Any idea what I could do to improve the situation?
Thanks
Patrice

Hi,

We can help. Can you describe the type of sensors you have connected to your inputs on RCP? How do you have them wired up?

I have a feeling that it's a ground issue. Make sure you have really low resistance between all key parts and ground on the RCP itself.
