Making a custom CANBUS cable to start a data logging project for my BMW S1000RR - wanted to get clarification on the need for a 120 ohm termination.
If the RCP will live at the end of the Can Bus line, i assume there needs to be a resistor built in to keep the CAN BUS impedance correct. Is there one within the RCP box, or do i need to build one into my cable?
Thanks,
CAN BUS - 120 ohm terminator?

One note, i will be plugging into the CAN in place of another device, rather in the middle of the bus, so im thinking no...
