Indeed the MJLJ has to evolve in a stand alone unit whitout the edis module.

Has anybody taken the intrest in what is inside the edis?

I asume there is no rocket Sience in there.

So Why no copying this in to the MJLJ and add some stuf from the megasquirt
to upgrade.

The other solution would be the way of microsquirt.
These have coil drivers and fits three times in MJLJ enclosers.
So there is room enough to elaborate.

Indeed- the next version of the MJLJ will be fully stand alone, with all of the obvious and not so obvious benefits. And, it will be drop-in compatible with the existing Ford 36-1 trigger wheel / sensor setup.

I'm currently in the design and testing phase- I will have an update and more formal announcement coming in the near future.
