Re: Porsche 987.2 / 997.2 CAN bus data

Isn't this accessed via a connector under the dash, and not via the OBDII port?

Re: C16 missing

Please post a picture of the circuit board so we know the hardware version of the megajolt you're working with and we can help further.

Thanks!

Re: Help with coilx setup

Thanks. Although you can't provide data, there is a definite chance it will work if the waveform matches what CoilX expects (as documented in the wiki). As you can understand, there's no guarantees it will work.

Let us know what you end up doing!

Re: A90/A91 Toyota Supra PT-CAN BUS Install

Hi, when using RaceCapture you can simply use the preset available in the application, no need to import the DBC file.

Re: Help with coilx setup

We designed CoilX to work with conventional coil packs, and not tested with CDI ignition. https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/CoilX Often there is a trigger wire for the ignition the signals when the fire the plugs. Is this trigger wire the one that has the 250v that you indicated? If so, there is a chan...

Re: Podium connect V1, V2 / Race capture track

Glad it was helpful. If google fi works and it switched to T-Mobile, then that was probably the issue; t-mobile still seems to be lacking in rural areas where race tracks are.

Verizon or a real AT&T card should work best in your area.

Re: 36-1 Electronic Trigger Wheel Emulation

I created a bench tester that actually has a spinning 36-1 wheel. We don't have a use for it anymore, would you be interested in it?

This is great, hopefully we can cleanly roll the equivalent capability into the main system.

Re: Racecapture Streaming Video is lagging and poor quality

Hi David, we had a couple of other troubleshooting questions in our original reply, could you address those? Related to our original question, does it also lag in preview mode when you plug a monitor into it instead of the HDMI emulator?

Re: Podium connect V1, V2 / Race capture track

Hi, Your PodiumConnect MK1 system (with the square molex connector) is likely the 4G version, and that means you can use Verizon, which should work great at Thunderhill, in case that was the track you were concerned about. What other tracks do you use? PodiumConnect MK2 got a refresh to use the roun...

Re: Connecting Racecapture MK4 to GEMS GDi80 ECU

.GIN files seem to be proprietary and not an industry standard format.

Try to get a .dbc or at least a pdf that documents the actual protocol. If they want their system to be used at all by 3rd parties, they should be able to provide that.

Re: Help getting datalogs on Fire

Hi, you need to make sure your firmware and app is on the latest version. check http://podium.live/software for the latest downloads. Then, you need to ensure the two settings are made to enable recording: * Setup / Application Preferences - Session Recording is set to On * Setup / Automatic Control...

Re: Time taken for the Auto-resetting fuse in 5V reference line in RaceCapture Pro MK2

Hi, it should only take 10-30 seconds for any PTC fuse to cool down and reset.

If that has not happened, then the 5v reference section has been damaged. A work-around would be to get an external 12v -> 5v power supply and use that instead for the reference.
