Site change background

Post by david jenkins »

The new site technology is good, and I can see why it's been done... but could we have some background to the changes?

For example, is Autosport Labs still Brent Picasso in a different guise? Or is it a move towards being more commercial?

Also, will the Products section have components (Molex connector, cases, etc) as well as kits and ready-mades?

cheers,
David

Hi David,

I hope I explained it clearly enough on the MJLJ welcome page http://www.autosportlabs.net/index.php? ... rs_Welcome

I also expand on the mission in the "about" page, linked on the page referenced above, please be sure to read it!

Autosport Labs is an expansion of the concept behind the MJLJ into other automotive technologies, and is, indeed, a balanced step towards a commercial venture. And yes, it's still me as usual :) I am very selectively adding specialized consultants and staff members as needed.

We will continue to sell complete kits as well as provide an assembly/testing service. By offering complete kits we don't have the need to sell individual components as we did before. This saves the kit builder time as well as reduces complexity for us.

Regards,

Brent,

It was just a bit of a shock! (I wasn't trying to be anti the changes)

:D

Brent,
I still cannot find my way properly around the new web site. For example
I cannot find Ruedi Bruegger's excellent tuning pot circuit and software
that I have built and use, nor the rev limiter circuit from David
Withers that I also use. I think they were both in contributed files or
something similar. Are there corners or whole sections that I have missed?

Hi John,

Thanks for the reminder- correct, those haven't been moved over.

I will dig up those contributions from my archive and find a good place to put them.

Thanks,
